 (OHSAS 18001)



1 - Introduction:

At the beginning I would like to recogniz the following information on the system:



 OHSAS 18001:1999 - shows the specifications of system safety management and occupational health it was developed to be compatible with the quality system

 OHSAS 18002: 1999 - instruction manual for how to implement the specifications of the safety management system and occupational health (which is inherent in the directory specification).§
 This standard has been developed and developed in response to urgent customer need to the presence of a standard recognized by the management system for occupational health and safety with which to assess management systems and certification .


(ISO 9001:1994) and specifications of the quality management system in the environment (ISO 14001:1996) in order to facilitate the process of integration between the systems of safety management and quality system in the management of the environment§

2 - Objective:

 All requirements in the standards of this system in place to fit any system of safety management in any organization. The application depends on factors such as the institution's policy for safety and occupational health, the nature of the activities of the Foundation, and the risks associated with its operations



3 - Terminology and definitions:



For purposes of this specification shall have the terms and words are where the following meanings: -



3-1 - the incident: There was an undesirable result in death, health damage, injury, damage and other damage

3-11 - Safety Management System and Occupational Health: A part of the integrated management system which facilitates the risk management of occupational health and safety issues connected with the institution that includes the structure of the institution and its planned activities, responsibilities, practical applications, procedures, processes and sources of development, implementation, achievements and review and maintain the policy of the Foundation for Occupational Safety and Health.

3-12 - Corporation: Company, factory, plant, institutes or associations or any part thereof, whether public or private, that have their functions and manage their own institutions (which have more than one unit productivity of any of these units can be treated as a separate.

3-13 - Level of performance: results of the management system is linked to measurable system of organization of control and manage the risks of occupational safety and health, and based on the policy and objectives of the organization.

3-15 - Risk assessment: is an integrated approach to monitoring the amount of risk and determine whether reasonable or not.



3-16 - Safety: freedom from unacceptable risk of damage

3-17 - reasonable risks: are the risks that are reducing the severity of the potential levels of the institution to conform to legal requirements and the policy of the institution of safety.
